The East is a delicate matter, as Comrade Sukhov said. But the east he is for that and for an amateur, that it can be very different. There is the east in the form of delicious island food, dinner squatting at a large family table in the village, the east in the form of the rising sun … And there is the east, where women walk, hiding their faces, where a brother kills a brother and people's houses are not decorated with silk and satin, but rubbed homemade carpets, moth-eaten. Iranian photographer Shadi ghadirian (Shadi Ghadirian) decided to show the world how he sees the world around him, oriental and dear to his heart.
Shadi was born in Tehran, Iran in 1974. He graduated and received a bachelor's degree in photography. He has participated in numerous exhibitions, solo and mixed, since 1997. His works adorn the walls of such museums as in London, Paris, California and many others.
In his photographs, Ghadirian shows everyday life as he sees it, and as he would like to see it. In his photographs, women, if they do not smile from ear to ear, do not feel sad about their terrible lot, which is rarely seen in other oriental authors. His women are beautiful, despite the constraint in their clothes, they love music, they wait for their men from the front, they pose and know how to present themselves well if needed.
