He was one of the most popular actors in the Soviet Union. Nikolai Kryuchkov had a reputation as a womanizer and heartthrob, although in reality he was just looking for his only woman. And having found, he lived with her for more than 30 years, until his last day. The actor had three children from three different women, sons Boris and Nikolai and daughter Elvira. It is about their fates that will be discussed in our today's review.

Nikolai Kryuchkov and Maria Pastukhova met while working on the film "Tractor Drivers" in 1939. Nikolai Kryuchkov played the main role, and Maria Pastukhova appeared in the episode, and her last name was not even indicated in the credits. But the mutual sympathy turned out to be so strong that the actors soon became husband and wife.

Many sources mention that it was in this marriage that the eldest son of Nikolai Kryuchkov, Boris, was born. However, a close friend of Maria Pastukhova, Lada Akimova, claims: when the actors started a family, Nikolai Afanasyevich already had a son, who was born as a result of a short-lived romance.

Nevertheless, Nikolai Kryuchkov always maintained relations with Boris, followed his progress, helped as much as he could. According to the recollections of the last wife of Nikolai Kryuchkov, Lydia Nikolaevna, the actor was very proud of his son. Boris grew up a good person, graduated from a technical university, received an engineering degree. He started his career at a large enterprise, and later became a shift supervisor there. Together with his wife, they raised wonderful children, after which they helped raise their grandchildren.

Boris Kryuchkov always stayed away from the attention of the press, did not seek to give interviews about his legendary father and did not share the details of his life. The main thing is that his fate turned out quite well, which cannot be said about the actor's youngest son.

Difficult boy

During the filming of the movie "Heavenly Slow" in 1945, the actor met Alla Parfanyak. For the young actress, this was her debut work in the cinema, and Nikolai Kryuchkov by that time was already a celebrity. He was 12 years older than Alla, but for both this did not become an obstacle to marriage.

The family life of Nikolai Kryuchkov and Alla Parfanyak was far from ideal, and the actor often did not want to return home after filming, preferring to rest and recover at the hotel. They lived together for ten years, and then the actress, taking away his son Nikolai, who was born in marriage, went to another actor, Mikhail Ulyanov.

Nikolai was acutely worried about the divorce of his parents. And besides, the boy grew up very painful, and later his tendency to depression manifested itself. His relationship with his mother was always very tense. However, he also could not find a common language with his father. Lydia Nikolaevna, the actor's widow, felt sorry for Nikolai Kryuchkov Jr. and even helped him secretly from her husband.

Nikolai Afanasyevich himself talked with his son for a long time, tried to convince him that in order to achieve some result, one must work hard. But Kolya protested and considered it unacceptable for himself to “hump from morning to night,” as he himself said. And the example of a father, who always worked hard to ensure a decent existence for himself and his loved ones, was not indicative for his son.

He studied physics and mathematics for a year, but then dropped out of the institute, periodically got a job and did not stay anywhere for a long time. Parents bought a cooperative apartment for Nikolai, tried to teach him to be independent, but the young man could not appreciate the efforts of the mother and her husband, and communication with his father developed only through his wife, who tried to protect Nikolai Afanasyevich from worries about her son.

At the same time, Nikolai was very talented, he independently learned English, read Shakespeare in the original and could become a good translator. But he didn't see the point at all. Later, Nikolai Kryuchkov Jr. declared himself a dissident, began to speak out actively against the regime, not forgetting to criticize his relatives, father and stepfather. It is known that Nikolai Kryuchkov was sent to a psychiatric clinic twice because of the demand to grant him political asylum in the United States after the expulsion of Alexander Solzhenitsyn from the country.

Subsequently, he was able to illegally leave for Germany, but from there he was deported to his homeland. Several years later, he still renounced Russian citizenship and was able to leave for the United States, where he worked in a library. In one of her last interviews, Alla Parfanyak admitted: she knows nothing about the fate of her son.

Elvira was born in the family of Nikolai and Lydia Kryuchkov. Nikolai Afanasyevich doted on his daughter and absolutely did not know how to be strict with her. On the contrary, he was ready to indulge his daughter tirelessly and fulfill all her childhood desires.

And at the same time, Elvira grew up as a surprisingly kind and non-capricious girl, was ready to help everyone around and treated people with almost the same spiritual generosity as her father. Even in adolescence, parents did not have any problems with their daughter thanks to the understanding that was established in the family.

Subsequently, Elvira Nikolaevna became a translator, specialized in English. She was married to hockey player Boris Alexandrov, in marriage with whom she gave birth to a daughter, Catherine. It seems that grandfather was most happy about the birth of little Katyusha, literally beaming with happiness.

Elvira Nikolaevna is caring for her sick mother today, trying not to leave her with her attention even for a minute. Lydia Nikolaevna is very ill and needs constant supervision. However, the daughter never complains, she simply provides her mother with a decent old age.

Nikolai Kryuchkov was the real favorite of directors and spectators. A talented, charming, handsome actor was created to play the roles of real men. However, he was just as charismatic in life as he was on the screen. In his four marriages, he experienced the whole gamut of feelings: from ardent passion to irreparable tragedy. Nikolai Kryuchkov was able to find his quiet haven after he turned 50.
