Video: Why the youngest son of Oleg Tabakov left the theater and in what scenes he will never act
2024 Author: Richard Flannagan | [email protected]. Last modified: 2023-12-15 23:55
Pavel Tabakov never remains out of sight of the public and the media. The actor played several significant roles in films and TV shows, but still it is not easy for him, as both viewers and colleagues invariably compare him with the famous father, Oleg Pavlovich Tabakov. Pavel honestly says that he will not reach his father's heights, but he is still not going to give up his ambitions.
Not chasing father's glory
Pavel Tabakov admits: he will hardly be able to reach the heights of his father. By the age of 30, Oleg Tabakov was one of the most famous and popular Soviet actors, but at the same time he worked so hard that already at the age of 29 he suffered his first heart attack from severe overstrain. This was due to the fact that after graduating from school, Oleg Pavlovich came from Saratov to Moscow, entered the Moscow Art Theater School and independently made his way in the capital. The youngest son of the great actor has his own ambitions, but he does not need to think about his daily bread, and therefore there is no need to work with the same frenzy. However, he does not suffer from lack of work and can choose from a variety of filming offers.
Leaving "Tabakerka"
After the death of his father, Pavel Tabakov fought depression in the only way available to him: work. But at some point he decided to leave the theater. According to the actor, it was difficult for him to be where everything reminded of his dad. And his departure from the theater is not at all connected with a lack of support or patronage, but exclusively with the discomfort that haunted him. In "Snuffbox" he was mainly involved in the productions of Konstantin Bogomolov, although he also played in "Biloxi Blues" and "Matrosskaya Tishina".
The role he dreams of
In the cinema, Pavel Tabakov mainly plays the role of positive romantic heroes, whom he himself calls "autists with eyes in love." The actor is tired of the order of the same type of images, and he dreams of playing a negative character. And he even said once in an interview that he was very interested in one of the many proposals from among those that he received from directors. The actor was attracted by the role of a transgender, quite unusual for Russian cinema. He believes that this topic needs to be raised, but depicting gay men caricatured is not entirely correct, because in fact the image can be completely different.
Scenes that will not be filmed under any circumstances
The actor is only 25 years old, and he quite calmly treats frank scenes in the cinema, does not see anything shocking or shameful in them. This is confirmed by one of the scenes in the series "Call Center", where Pavel Tabakov played the main role. There, the heroes of the film lead a round dance, however, while everyone is in the nude. The actor does not see any problems in this, especially since work on any project begins with reading the script, and he always knows what he agrees to by accepting the director's proposal. But there is one taboo for him. He will never agree to play in those scenes where you need to fulfill your natural needs on camera. In general, the actor believes that the acting profession does not allow being capricious. By agreeing to play a role, the artist is obliged to work it out with full dedication.
A remedy for fatigue
Like many people, Pavel Tabakov could succumb to his bad mood, which was then replaced by bouts of self-flagellation. Sometimes he saw the world in black colors, especially after the breakup of a romantic relationship. Fortunately, by the age of 25, he had his own recipe for dealing with a negative attitude towards life in general and towards himself in particular. He learned to see positive moments in any situation and understood the main thing: a positive attitude and the right thoughts can work wonders. Even if an actor wants to feel sorry for himself, tired and exhausted, he simply says to himself: "I'm not tired, I want and will work harder!" And in fact, it helps him get tired less.
Family trait
Once Pavel was asked about the family trait inherent in all Tabakovs. Despite the fact that everyone is related to theater and cinema (so far, with the exception of the actor's younger sister, 14-year-old Maria), he called something that had nothing to do with the profession. The son of the great actor said: all Tabakovs, without exception, love to eat well and love to cook. It seems that even now he has not reached the level of culinary skills of Oleg Pavlovich, who knew how to masterly cook buckwheat porridge with cracklings. He made it divinely delicious.
Off the set
Recently, Pavel Tabakov has been called one of the most enviable bachelors in Russia. He himself refers to this unofficial title with a fair amount of humor. So far, he has not met the one with whom he would like to start a family. But he knows for sure: in girls he is attracted by natural beauty, and a representative of the fair sex with pumped lips and a ton of makeup on her face has no chance of winning the heart of an actor.
Currently, he lives alone in his own apartment and does not use the inheritance left from his father, preferring to spend as much as his own work brings. He is a 4th year student at the GITIS production department at the correspondence department, independently and quite successfully passes the sessions and does not boast of either his financial position or his star name at all.
The fate of the children of famous actors does not always look like a fairy tale, as it might seem from the outside. Many do not withstand the oppression of the glory of their parents and do not even try to find themselves. Anton Tabakov always treated his father's merits almost philosophically. He blazed his own way in life and in art, trying not to dwell on grievances.
