The creative tandem of the spouses Valentina and Yuriy Kozyar, representatives of the Ukrainian school of painting, is a very rare example of the harmonious unity of two self-sufficient personalities and talented natures into one powerful artistic force. From the student's bench to the present day, this couple creates a unique author's painting, which is in demand in many countries of the world.
Yuri Kozyar was born in Starokonstantinov, in the Khmelnytsky region. He graduated from an art school there, and in Odessa he graduated from the Pedagogical Institute at the Faculty of Art and Graphics, where he met Valentina, his classmate and future wife. Valya was from Khotin, Chernivtsi region. Soon they created not only a family, but also a creative union that bore fruit. After graduating from the university, the young spouses, inspiring each other, became seriously interested in painting. And as a result, since the mid-80s, they have been participating in international, national and regional exhibitions. And now their works are successfully exhibited at exhibitions and art forums in Germany, America, England, Poland
Most of Yuri's works are landscapes saturated with the beauty of the nature of the South of Ukraine, which are also characterized by the sign of impressionism and expressionism. Often these are landscapes with cirrus clouds, which are scattered by the wind across the surface of the sky. And the whole nature depicted, as it were, is subject to a vortex air flow.
Almost all of the artist's landscapes are made in soft pastel colors and are enveloped in some kind of fabulous nebula and a touch of dreams, which gives the color scheme of works a certain symbolism and unreal airiness. And the effect of dreams, often used by the author, combines the three elements - air, water and earth into a single impulse.
The sunlight depicted by the master in landscapes is also amazing - be it the first pre-dawn ray or diffused light during sunset, where he actively uses the "Neapolitan" shades of yellow and orange. No less delightful is the image of the water surface. reflection and sunrises and sunsets and morning nebula.
Valentina Kozyar (born 1962)
Valentina paints still lifes with flowers with a palette knife in an expressive manner. As well as figurative abstraction, in which she boldly experiments with color, it is his artist who considers the emotional highlight of painting:
No less interesting are the works made by the romantic artist Evgeny Kuznetsov, who dedicated to his wife Olga, also an artist, many paintings.
