After the end of the war, the family moved to Leningrad - there Nina became interested in theater.

After studying at the Academy of Theater Arts, Nina Urgant worked for a year on assignment in a theater in Yaroslavl, and then returned to Leningrad and got a job at Lenkom. True, the director Georgy Tovstonogov did not trust her big roles at first. And only after she played Olya in her debut film "The Tiger Tamer", he believed in her talent and made her a leading theater artist. Both son Andrei and grandson Ivan followed in her footsteps. Both grew up in an acting environment, graduated from a theatrical high school and another way and could not imagine.
