In Yerevan, the singer met her first husband Yevgeny, who was a musician in the same orchestra where Roxana served.
A few years later, Roxana Babayan joined the Blue Guitars ensemble, and in 1976 she won the Internationales Schlagerfestival Dresden song contest. Soon she already performed on "Song of the Year" and even entered the six most popular performers of the Soviet Union in 1977 and 1978.

They lived all their lives in a modest apartment on the Arbat, from where Mikhail Mikhailovich refused to move, considering it his ancestral nest. Later, a large country house was built, where friends always gathered, the daughter of Mikhail Derzhavin visited with his sons, and everyone was warm and comfortable.
The last years of his life, Mikhail Mikhailovich was very sick, but until the last he tried to go on stage. On January 10, 2018, the famous artist passed away.
