Julia Prokopyeva-Loshagina

She was one of the most successful and sought-after models in Yekaterinburg, was married to a successful photographer Dmitry Loshagin, whom she met at one of the beauty contests. In 2011, the lovers became husband and wife, and two years later, in August 2013, after a party, the model disappeared. The alarm was sounded by Yulia's relatives, worried about the disappearance of the girl.

The model's brother wrote a statement to the police 9 days after the ill-fated party at which Julia was last seen alive. Witnesses claimed that the model had a falling out with her husband, and after that no one saw her. Dmitry Loshagin insisted that the girl left. But her body was discovered even before the report appeared. It was disfigured, and law enforcement officers did not immediately succeed in establishing the identity of the victim.

The model's husband insisted on his innocence and the first court acquitted him. But after that, production resumed. It turned out that as a result of a quarrel, Dmitry Loshagin broke his wife's neck, and then disfigured her face so that she would not be recognized. He himself intended to escape. The court sentenced the photographer to ten years in prison. Perhaps the reason for the tragedy was the fact that Julia was HIV-infected and infected her husband.

Galina Fedorova

Candid photos of the 33-year-old model from Tatarstan often appeared in men's magazines, and her instagram page had more than 100 thousand subscribers. In early September 2020, the body of Galina Fedorova was discovered off the coast of Sardinia.

The model, together with photographer Yevgeny Taranov, went on a rented rubber boat to a photo session planned for Krasny Island. One and a half kilometers from the shore, they decided to swim, but they were covered by a wave, and the boat was unhooked and carried away to the shore. Taranov managed to get out, but he lost sight of Galina, and the girl drowned as a result.

The Italian authorities, who discovered the photographer's drone in the boat, put forward a version of espionage. Moreover, the tragedy broke out near the island where the NATO training ground is located. But a thorough study of the materials forced law enforcement officers to exclude the "spy" component of the case and accept the version of the accident.

Sofia Lapshakova

The 16-year-old model from Krasnoyarsk had the most promising prospects. Shortly before the tragedy, the "Fashion House" edition included the girl in the top twenty most beautiful models, and Sophia Lapshakova herself planned to enter a medical institute and become a plastic surgeon.

During a vacation in Turkey with her parents and brother in July 2019, Sophia's life was suddenly cut short. She felt a sharp pain in the abdomen after dinner, by the morning the model's health did not improve. The family turned to doctors for help, but after a few hours the girl was gone. Later, the details became known: at the hospital, the doctors did tests and advised to transfer Sophia to another clinic, she needed an operation due to peritonitis.

During the move, a hot water bottle was placed on the girl's stomach. In the second clinic, Sophia's condition deteriorated sharply, and a sudden cardiac arrest followed. It was not possible to bring the girl back to life. And the girl's parents still cannot find an answer to the question of what killed their daughter and why after the autopsy she did not have internal organs …

Ruslana Korshunova

She was called "Russian Rapunzel", she starred in an ad for Nina Ricci eau de toilette and was in great demand. In June 2008, the body of Ruslana Korshunova was found near a high-rise in Manhattan. According to the US police, the Russian model either committed suicide or accidentally fell out of the window. But by the time of her death, the girl did not have any signs of depression, on the contrary, she was inspired by the prospects opening up before her of concluding new contracts. Later it turned out that in the United States, the girl attended some personal growth trainings that could affect her psyche. Moreover, after a while Ruslana's friend, also a participant in these trainings, died.

Vlada Dziuba

14-year-old Vlada was just beginning to build a career in the modeling business. The girl met in October 2017 in China, where she came to participate in the show. After several days of hard work, Vlada's temperature rose to 40 degrees, the girl was urgently hospitalized. Two days later, Vlada Dziuba died.

Later, the Russian media reported that traces of biological poison were found in Vlada's body, the origin of which could not be determined. It could be either an insect bite or a banal food poisoning.

Olga Langil

Promising 18-year-old model Olga Langil died in May 2018 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The day before, the girl met in a sports bar with the emergency doctor Naveel Parikh, 41 years old. In the man's apartment, Olga tried many different types of prohibited substances, from ecstasy to cocaine. In the morning she did not wake up, and an overdose became the cause of death.

In the Soviet Union, the profession of fashion models was considered one of the most disreputable.
