The sequel to the film about King Kong, which was called "Kong: Skull Island", was awaited by many with great impatience. So, a huge number of people came to the premiere in the largest Vietnamese city of Ho Chi Minh City. The organizers tried to turn the premiere of the long-awaited film into a colossal event, but as a result, the audience had to scatter. The cause of the panic was the fire of a huge model of the main character of the film - a large gorilla.
In a short time, it was possible to find out the cause of the fire. The source of ignition was the flames and sparks that emanated from an artificial volcano. This volcano was used as part of the entertainment program, timed to coincide with the film's premiere. We placed it near the shopping center. The flames took only five minutes to completely destroy a five-meter-high copy of King Kong.
After the event, information appeared that many of those present at first did not pay attention to the flame that was engulfing a huge artificial monkey, as they considered the fire to be part of the performance. Soon it became clear that the fire was not planned by anyone, which caused panic. A huge number of people tried to leave the place of the show as soon as possible. These events took place on March 9 at about 19:00. By the way, at the same time a small fire was burning on the stage, around which dancers performed to amuse the assembled audience.
Firefighters were able to completely extinguish the flame in 15 minutes. This unpleasant event somewhat overshadowed the premiere, but they did not refuse to show the tape. Anyone who wanted to see the King Kong movie was able to come back and enjoy the movie starring Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson. The premiere of the tape in Ho Chi Minh City was attended by Vietnamese officials and American diplomats. The great interest in the film from Vietnamese viewers, including officials, is due to the fact that the film was filmed in separate regions of Vietnam and the Vietnamese capital - the city of Hanoi.
