The master ceramists of the St. Petersburg company set to work on a unique porcelain Christmas tree. As a New Year's gift, it was presented to the suburban economy of the Uspensky courtyard of the Optina Pustyn monastery, which is located in the Vyborg district of the Leningrad region.

The work on the unique object was carried out with great care. The experience gained in the creation of porcelain domes for the Church of St. Prince Igor of Chernigov at the Patriarchal courtyard, in Peredelkino near Moscow. First, the tree was designed on a computer in a 3D environment. On the basis of this three-dimensional model, a metal frame structure was developed, on which porcelain elements in the form of pyramids were then installed. As a result, the tree turned out to be avant-garde, unusual, but at the same time similar to a real forest beauty. It was crowned with a star, which is a separate work of art.

Created according to the author's project, the star contains a ceramic panel depicting St. Virgin Mary with baby Jesus in her arms.
We have already found a suitable place for an amazing gift. The abbot of the Uspensky courtyard, Hegumen Rostislav, and the director of the company working on the creation of tiled fireplaces and stoves and who created this miracle, Konstantin Likholat, jointly decided that it would be best to install a porcelain Christmas tree on the site, next to the Blagoye Mesto hotel. The hotel building is unusual and in itself is an art object, since its walls, both outside and inside, are painted with vivid drawings, mainly depicting pictures of rural labor.
