Painting is a term that fits the work of an artist. Federico Pietrella like no other. And all because the author does not paint his pictures, but writes - in words, letters, symbols that are located on the keys of a typewriter. The artist calls this type of creativity Date Stamp Painting, and under this name some of his exhibitions are held in large cities and capitals of many states. An absolute minimum of information is available on the Internet about the artist himself. Born and studied in Rome, today he lives and works in the capital of Germany. He was fond of painting since childhood. True, if initially these were traditional classical paintings with paints and a brush, then later, having become bolder and skilled in technique, Federico Pietrella began to mix not only colors, but also painting techniques. So, in his portfolio there are works that combine paints and found objects, wood resin and LEDs, applique and even installation elements. But the works from the Date Stamp Painting series are still considered the most original.
The artist prints not only on paper, but also on fabric canvases, so that the paintings live longer, and the paint on it does not fade longer. Tapping on the keys, Federico Pietrella creates portraits from letters and symbols, city and natural landscapes, sometimes - some images, familiar to everyone, but not recognized by anyone … Due to the specifics of this style, the paintings look like reproductions from history books or magazines, but worth them take a closer look … the impression does not change. This is one of the "highlights" of the artist's work, and you can get to know him better on his website.
