Photo manipulations are always interesting to watch because they give a sense of reality to even the most unreal picture. Erik Johansson, a 24-year-old student from Sweden, has a great sense of humor and a limitless supply of ideas for computer transformations that give birth to such creative works.
Eric Johansson is a photographer and retoucher based in Gothenburg, Sweden. He takes photographs with a digital single-lens reflex camera, and then performs various manipulations with them. The guy discovered that it is quite fun to change the photo, as you are creating more than just a photo.
Most of his paintings are personal projects that he created as an experiment with different techniques, exploring their possibilities. And since these are personal projects, he works on them only when he feels the inspiration that comes from everywhere: from life, everyday activities, magazines, books. When a photographer knows exactly what he wants to do, when he already has preliminary sketches, only then he starts looking for a place where he can take a suitable photo. This takes a lot of time, as the scene itself and the environment are very important to the final result. Eric Johansson admits that it takes about 10 - 20 hours to transform one painting.
Eric Johansson is a young man playing with reality. His manipulation paintings juxtapose the mundane, the ordinary and the supernatural. Drawing his photographs, he tries to put a piece of humor into them, to tell about something, but in most cases gives the viewer a chance to interpret what he saw to the best of his imagination.

Bones that come to visit. Vertebrata Photo Manipulation Series by Marc Da Cunha Lopes
No matter how absurd it may sound, people nevertheless love to look at bones and skeletons, look at photographs from the sites of car accidents and plane crashes, not to mention the fact that articles about all sorts of horrors, such as dissected corpses, exhibits from the Gunther Museum von Hagens, are always much more readable than publications about more "peaceful" works. Moreover, the majority considers all these "charms" with only one purpose - to express their "f
Photography + retouching = fantastic art by Erik Johansson
Even 4 years ago, Erik Johansson was a student at the Faculty of Computer Graphics, and today he is a well-known and recognizable photographer, whose masterpieces delight and make you think. This is despite the fact that the talented Swede has no professional training in photography. Apparently the lack of experience in holding the camera in hands is compensated by the fantastic ability to retouch pictures
