“I'm not a storyteller. I do not write stories and fairy tales. I just draw objects, people and memorable interesting moments. These are the words of the creative French illustrator Serge Bloch, who draws funny humorous pictures but considers his work to be a modest job.
Serge enjoys his job, taking great pleasure in it. He believes that what can make him laugh should be funny to others. The goal and desire of the illustrator is to make people, if not laugh, then at least smile when they consider his funny, funny and kind works. The artist seeks inspiration from everywhere: walking down the street, sitting in a studio, looking out the window and following passers-by. According to Serge Bloch, creating means keeping a child in oneself, because all children are born creators, and drawing is a means of self-expression for them.
The illustrator does not come up with the plot of his drawings, he just sits down at the table and his pencil begins to draw. Serge Bloch simply watches his hand, which draws images on a sheet of paper. And if what was born is interesting to the author and clings, he saves the drawing, if not, then the failed work of art goes straight to the trash can. The French illustrator also likes to combine illustration and photography. By adding one small photographic detail to the drawing, Serge makes it more real.
Serge Bloch collaborates and creates illustrations for such American publications as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, GQ, The Los Angeles Times, Bloomberg, Scholastic, National Geographic and many others. The French artist was awarded the Gold Medal by the Society of Illustrators at the 47th Annual Exhibition in 2005 and also received the Baobab Award for Best Children's Book in 2006.

Knightly armor of the 16th century as a work of art: the work of a virtuoso gunsmith
Medieval knightly armor can be seen today in various museums around the world, but history has practically not brought the names of the masters of arms business to this day. Italian Filippo Negroli was a real virtuoso of coinage. He managed to turn helmets, shields and armor into exquisite jewelry, which knights flaunted on especially solemn occasions
