In her drawings, Chloe Early creates fantastic landscapes, an urban utopia, where sometimes strange and amazing things happen.

Chloe paints oil paintings on aluminum and canvas. In her works, she introduces many objects that, coexisting with each other, create a new, parallel reality. The reality in which palm trees grow from concrete slabs, and sometimes birds are indistinguishable from airplanes. Small figures live in their strange worlds; depicted often alone or in pairs, they simply do not seem to notice their unusual surroundings or pay no attention to it. Beautifully tanned figures bring the spirit of escapism to the images, that is, escape from reality, glamor and kitsch, while contrasting with the architectural backgrounds of the paintings.

Erly does not draw any fantastic creatures, all her characters are quite real. But depicting things familiar to us, the artist surrounds them with an unusual environment. Humans and wild animals coexist in the urban space: wolves roam the streets, and deer stop drinking water, alarmed by the threatening size of buildings. There is a feeling that Chloe is portraying a post-apocalyptic world. Perhaps. But ultimately these are positive drawings: existence is saved, nature is alive, people are not alone. The artist shows us a destroyed and reassembled world, but reassembled according to new rules and schemes.
