The series of photographs of jewelry “Luxury Chicks”, which appeared on the pages of Marie Claire magazine, excited the fashion world. Of course, when discussing the photo session with Peter Lipman, the owners of the magazine asked to make it non-standard. However, no one expected such a result: the photographer dressed luxury jewelry from Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels on real chicks of rare breeds.
The idea of the “Luxury Chicks” photo shoot is a play on words from its name: girls in English-speaking countries are often called “chicks”, which translates as “chickens”, “chicks”. Peter Lippmann thought real hens and roosters would be great models. And really, why not put expensive jewelry of famous brands on ordinary chickens? But after assessing the situation, the photographer decided that the birds still should not be standard, but luxurious, the same as the jewelry that adorns their feathers.
Luckily for the photographer, a lot of people are into the rare breeds of these birds. There are exhibitions and nurseries engaged in the breeding of non-standard chickens. Each of these birds costs hundreds or even thousands of dollars. So, in a sense, chickens are very expensive models. For the photo shoot, Lipman and his team selected chickens of the following breeds: Polish crested, gray curly with a bare neck, red silk pullets and several other chicks with no less attractive names.
Photographers assistants admit that the idea inspired them immediately, although there were concerns. After all, taking pictures of animals is one of the most difficult tasks. The chickens were constantly running away or turning away, but this was not the main problem either. The most important thing was to make sure that the birds did not peck stones from the jewelry. After all, a couple of accurate beaks are enough for this. The photographer and his team did not suffer in vain: the series of photographs "Luxury Chicks" turned out to be bright and memorable.

Man and Wildlife: Custom Photo Landscapes by Ellen Kooi
Who of us didn’t want to feel like a fish in a river, a blade of grass in a field, a tree in a forest, a cloud in the sky? Man is the flesh of the flesh of nature, her, albeit prodigal, but still a son - this is reminiscent of the wonderful "humanized landscapes" of the Dutch photographer Ellen Coy. Moreover, this nature is alive, and not because Ellen Coy's paintings are replete with animals or bugs, but because everything, from stone to sky, in her photographs is imbued with the spirit of life
