Canadian artist Ashley Mackenzie lives and works in Toronto. She is the author of complex conceptual illustrations, balancing on the edge of philosophy and neuroscience. They are rather laconic in execution, but each of them has a deep meaning.
Like Alessandro Gottardo, renowned author of original illustrations, Mackenzie clearly works under the slogan "idea always wins style", working more "not with his hands, but with his head." For the artist, just like her Italian colleague in the workshop, it is important that her works turn out to be, first of all, messages, messages through which one could build a dialogue with the viewer. After all, as you know, style becomes obsolete, only an idea remains in eternity.
Mackenzie is more than just pictures with meaning. She is an incredibly talented artist and a true professional in her field, proving that an illustration can and should be performed as succinctly as possible. The artist is also passionate about concept art and decorative painting. “Our brain will never be able to fully comprehend the entire complexity of the Universe, but knowing these limitations, we should not interfere with the knowledge and contemplation of the world,” the artist believes.

As practice shows, paintings painted in the style of impressionism are liked by almost everyone.
