Great power is not only a right, but also a huge responsibility with which superheroes cope with tremendous resilience. But as soon as they find themselves at home, they become ordinary people, whose everyday life is devoted to a series of works Secret hero life from the artist Gregoire Guillemin.
Thanks to the work of Rodolfo Loaiza, we know that princesses also poop, undergo plastic surgery or have gay sexuality. Dina Goldstein told us about what happens to fairytale heroines after the end of the well-known classic stories. And the French illustrator Gregua Guilemin invites us to look at the everyday life of superheroes.
After all, it would be foolish to believe that superheroes are only engaged in saving the world, day and night confronting super villains. No, these characters also have the right to privacy. They, too, brush their teeth in the morning, drink beer in the evenings, and suffer from horribly uncomfortable uniforms.
Gregua Gulemin, in his Secret Hero Life series, flaunts the details of the intimate life of famous comic book and book characters. In the illustrations he created, you can see Superman, Hulk, Catwoman, Spider-Man, Superwoman, Batman, Snow White, Ariel the little mermaid and some other fictional characters familiar to everyone.
The French artist reveals to us the smallest details from their personal lives, showing how they take care of themselves, eat (not always healthy), drink, smoke and have sex. In the latter, Catwoman was especially successful, who was seen in close relationships with three of her "colleagues" at once - Spider-Man, Superman and Ariel. Spring, apparently.
At the same time, Gregua Gulemin does not show us all these actions in the smallest detail. His illustrations are quite minimalistic, leaving a lot of room for our own imagination. Therefore, they cannot be called vulgarity or obscenity.
