On New Year's Eve, you always want magic and fairy tales, so today's story about a real Hobbit house, built not so long ago in Pennsylvania, is just the way. This house is the dream of any admirer of J. R. R. Tolkien. The owner of this wonderful mansion is a private collector, who for 30 years collected manuscripts and personal belongings that belonged to the science fiction writer, and now he has built a real museum, however, visitors are not allowed to enter here.
The architect who designed this wonderful home is Peter Archer. Before starting work, he carefully studied not only the books of Tolkien (the legendary "The Hobbit" and the trilogy "The Lord of the Rings"), but also worked with the sketches that the writer created to illustrate his work. Archer did his best to keep the house from looking like a Hollywood replica of a Hobbit hole. The architect notes that the house was built in 2004, but by its appearance it is impossible to determine this, it could be 1904, or even 1604. Archer worked closely with another Pennsylvania colleague, Mark Avellino, his task was to "Provide" the house with hobbit details, as well as bring the surrounding landscape to the appropriate form.
Today the family of the collector lives in the house. The paths are paved with cobblestones, there is an English-style garden next to the house, and, of course, a round door made of Spanish cedar leads to the house. The door is mounted on massive forged hinges - everything exactly coincides with Tolkien's description (by the way, a blacksmith from Maryland was involved in this work, others were not able to do this task).
The windows are the result of painstaking work on the sketches of the writer: when the shutters are open, they resemble a butterfly. The roof of the house is also unique - it is covered with handmade French tiles. Inside the house is very cozy: there is a fireplace, as well as many bookshelves, which store not only the works of Tolkien, but also "personal belongings" of Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf, as well as chess, cups and the ring of omnipotence.
Despite the fact that the house is not at all modern in appearance, the dwelling is equipped with all the benefits of civilization: there are heating, ventilation, cooling, power supply systems, as well as a security system. Unfortunately, the owner of the house does not want to make a museum out of his brainchild, therefore it is almost impossible for mere mortals to visit this unique house. However, fans of Tolkien's works should not be upset, because they can always go to the house-hole of Steve and Skristina Michaels. This dwelling is not inferior in beauty to the Pennsylvania one and is also located in America, in the state of Montana.

Classics for import: 7 foreign films based on the books of Russian writers
Foreign directors have repeatedly turned to the works of Russian literature to create their films. 5 authors who hated cult films based on their books
It is known that Stanislav Lem was so dissatisfied with the work of Andrei Tarkovsky that he called “Solaris” in his interpretation “Crime and Punishment”. In addition, we will never see the film adaptation of The Catcher in the Rye, since Salinger was burned on this issue back in the late 40s and forever forbade directors to touch their books, and Anthony Burgess was ready to renounce A Clockwork Orange - a novel , which brought him fame - because of what happened to that in the cinema. Practice shows that
