7. The Indian Pacific Route is the longest in the world
Since Australia is a rather large continent, the main mode of transport here is railway. Therefore, it is not at all surprising that the Indian Pacific route, which stretches from Sydney to Perth, is today considered the longest in the world and passes through such interesting places as the Blue Mountains and Flinders Ridge. Such a long road takes about 478 kilometers, and a one-way trip takes more than seventy hours! For the first time, a train on this route was launched in 1970 after the construction of such a large-scale railway was completed. Today, classic trains run along this route, which carry both tourists and residents of the country.

The Great Ocean Road, aka B100, is considered the most famous road in Australia. It covers over 243 kilometers and stretches along the coast of Victoria.
