Video: Sleep, my wall, sleep: "Lilith and Olaf" - the largest graffiti in the world

Street artists from France Ella and Pitre created not just a large mural, they created the world's largest drawing on an urban surface - so large that against its background a human figure can easily get lost and hide in a single point of the image. Like all the other works of the couple, this graffiti depicts a sleeping man - such a giant sleepyhead. But this time even with the king.
Creative duet Ella & Pitr from Saint-Etienne have been working together for over 10 years, during which they have created a lot of sleeping giants. What is true, their sleepyheads do not sleep on vertical walls, but, as it should be, horizontally. Flat roofs of houses and warehouses, wide streets, runways and even frayed lawns are suitable for the "comfortable bed" of painted giants.
It would seem, why limit yourself so and portray only sleeping people, but Elle and Pitre manage to find different approaches to the topic within the framework set for themselves. Now sunbathing ladies are hiding on the roof, then dozing kids are resting on the grass under the covers, then the girl curled up in her sleep so that it seems - just a little bit more, and she will wake up. However, in order to appreciate all the details of these murals, it is necessary to rise into the air, from the ground the whole image, alas, cannot be captured.
The duo's latest mural became not only the largest of their works, but also became the largest mural in the world, occupying 21 square meters. The work is called " Lilith and Olaf"and depicts a woman curled up in a dream and tiny in comparison with her (but still much larger than the real human size) king, King of Norway Olaf I. This work is timed to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the Noir festival in Stavanger, and therefore the mural will be officially opened during the time of the festival itself is September 4, 2015.
A mural is a work of art that is depicted on a large surface, most often on a wall. Frescoes in churches, ancient rock paintings, paintings and any solid images on the walls, graffiti - all this is called in one word mural.
