"Life is worth fighting for", - this is the motto of the famous Russian dancer Ruzanna Ghazaryan … By her own example, she managed to prove that a purposeful person is able to move mountains and reach unprecedented heights. Remember the story of the multiple world champion in wheelchair dancing in moments of despair, and you will understand: you simply have no moral right to give up.
Ruzanna was born in Perm, but her childhood was spent in two countries - in Russia and Armenia (in her father's homeland). The girl grew up mobile and cheerful, she could rarely sit still, she was engaged in Armenian folk dances. Everything changed at the age of 11: after having had the flu, the girl was completely paralyzed. It was only many years later that she learned the real diagnosis: problems with the vessels were to blame, but then the doctors did not go deeper, and, accordingly, there was no question of high-quality treatment.
The girl, in fact, experienced a second birth: she again learned to talk and stand up. Through the efforts of the parents, they managed to get the child out, but had to come to terms with the fact that Ruzanna would have to spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair. Once she got to the performance of dancers with disabilities and got the idea to try to continue dancing classes, abandoned due to an incurable disease.
The first time I studied for myself, but I felt the excitement quickly, I wanted to perform. Fortunately, fate gave Ruzanna a wonderful partner - Alexei Fotin. They met when Ruzanna was 18, and he was 25. At first they trained together, then conquered local scenes, and eventually went on international tours. Training has always been very difficult: for wheelchair users, strong muscles of the arms and back are important, they have an incredible load. Ruzanna strengthened her body for a long time before she achieved the desired level of skill. During one of the first competitions, the girl could not stand it and simply fell out of the stroller, but, gathering her will into a fist, she continued her performance. There were many such falls later, but they all became steps in order to climb the honorable pedestal.
The Kazaryan-Fotin pair won all possible awards, the athletes became the absolute world champions. Now they are gradually leaving the big sport, they understand that stronger young guys are appearing, and both of them need to take care of their health. Such intensive training does not pass without leaving a trace, it becomes more and more difficult to carry out the program every year, so they decided to leave at the zenith of fame.
Ruzanna has now plunged headlong into family life. She recently got married and now dreams of having a baby and enjoying motherhood. Knowing about the strength of her character, there is no doubt that she will succeed!
