Many people use the app Instagram in order to periodically upload photos of your food to the Web. The artist also decided to do this. Hong Yi … But each new picture of her is not just food, it is a real work of art!
Malaysian artist Hong Yi (who also uses the pseudonym Red) is a well-known name in the world of contemporary art. It has already thundered all over the planet thanks to a portrait of Mark Zuckerberg from the books of George Martin, a picture of socks and drawings created by traces of coffee cups.
Now Hong Yi started an unusual experiment, deciding to create a work of art and upload photos to the Internet via Instagram for thirty-one days. Moreover, in the best traditions of this mobile application, the pictures will show plates of food.
However, in the photographs of Hong Yi there is no vulgarity and ordinariness, which is usual for this genre. On the contrary, each picture is original and unusual. After all, the artist draws on plates with the help of food completely unique works, unlike anything else we have seen before.
Hong Yi creates a whole world in his plates, full of various characters, plots and stories. There are people, animals, nature, feelings and, of course, beauty! She creates original images and copies famous classics such as The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Japanese artist Katsushiki Hokusai in 1832.
This creative experiment began from Hong Yi on March 1 and will last thirty-one days until the end of the month.
