The photographs of Karla Read, a young photographer from the Dominican Republic, can inadvertently make the viewer uncomfortable - they are so personal and emotional. Photography helps Karla to be relaxed and emotional - the way she would like to be in real life.
Karla started taking photographs 5 years ago, barely leaving school. Inspired by the example of a friend who ran her photo blog, Karla decided to build her own portfolio. Soon from the capital of the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo, she moved to Argentina, to the noisy and beautiful Buenos Aires, where her talent was destined to fully reveal itself.
Her amazing aerial photographs are truly mesmerizing. They seem to tell the story of a young woman - free and bright, sensual and beautiful. Her works are embodied nostalgia, comparable to what one can experience when returning to the city of her youth, but at the same time, they read a challenge: a challenge to herself, a challenge to society.
Karla Read admits that photography for her is an opportunity to be a different person. “In fact, I'm an introvert, in the pictures - my alter ego. With the help of photographs, I seek balance in this fragile world and strive to convey the emotions that overwhelm me. Photography makes possible the existence of "another me", it seems to "speak" for me what I would never dare to say."
Today Karla Read is a successful photographer, previously she worked with Factoria Magazine, and now she has several projects, including successful cooperation with a number of modeling agencies.
Karla Read is a prime example of a photographer who is not afraid to bring personal and emotional to art. This makes her similar to the young photographer Paul Schneggenburger, who photographs sleeping couples.

Realism Challenge, or cloning things on paper. A challenge to realism from artist Mark Crilley
"Like real! Like in life!" - these compliments are usually the most desirable for artists or sculptors, whose works reflect reality, depicting objects, objects or actions that are familiar to us firsthand. Underwater photography that doesn't look like underwater photography: a photography project from Adeline Mai
We have written about underwater photography more than once, but the peculiarity of this series of photographs, created by 20-year-old girl-photographer Adeline Mai, is that the water in it does not look like water. Rather, they are people immersed in the ether, who appear before us in an extreme degree of purity and harmlessness
Artist Olga Romanova. "Read Art" is a contemporary painting that can be read
Anything that doesn't kill us makes us stronger. 2011 was a turning point in my life, a year of unpleasant discoveries and disappointments. I took a fresh look at this world and the people living in it. My emotions found a way out in the art project "Read Art" I created. In principle, it was thanks to the experience that "Read Art" was born
