One of the natural attractions of New Zealand is the picturesque coast of Otago, on which lighthouse nugget point (nugget point) … This place combines the severity of an almost Antarctic climate with the romance of captivating natural landscapes.
The journey from the coastline to the lighthouse takes no more than five minutes, so a visit to Nugget Point is one of the favorite routes among tourists. The Nugget Point lighthouse was built in 1870 and worked on oil for a long time, only in 1849 electricity was installed here. Full automation was carried out in 1989, since then the lighthouse is served by a dispatcher from Wellington.
