We are what we eat! This simple truth turns out to be best understood when watching ants. However, in this case, the phrase changes to "We look like what we eat." A clear confirmation of this is a series of photographs Tasting the rainbow from British scientist and artist Mohamed Babu. The fear of insects is the echoes of primitive fear, inherited by modern man. Indeed, in the distant, distant times, an insect bite could lead to death thousands of times more often than now. So in our time there are a huge number of people who are panicky afraid of all sorts of bugs and spiders. And there are people who do their best to overcome this fear. For example, through creativity. In this regard, we can mention the art project of Rafael Gomez Barros "Casa Tomada", the picturesque Art-Farm ant farms or the championship for luring bees in China.
The British scientist and artist Mohamed Babu also decided to play a little creatively with insects. He decided to decorate the ants. Moreover, for this, he did not have to run with brushes and paint for each of the indicated insects - they did everything with his submission themselves.
It all started with the fact that Mohamed Babu's wife drew his attention to the ants, which feasted on the drops of milk she accidentally poured on the floor, after which their "butts" turned white. Smiling, Mohamed scattered several colored candies in his garden and armed himself with a camera. The ants were not long in coming, they immediately surrounded the multi-colored candies and began to gnaw them. Well, their translucent "butts" immediately acquired the bright colors of these caramels.
As a result, Mohamed Babu got a series of amazing photographs called "Tasting the rainbow", in which seemingly gray and usually ordinary-looking ants are painted in all colors of the rainbow.
