While the whole world is preparing for the New Year holidays, the SantaCon festival participants are not wasting their time. Traditional December processions of hundreds of people dressed in Santa Claus costumes take place in the capitals of the world. As a rule, these activities end with a binge.

In one of the previous stories, we already mentioned the SantaCon festival in San Francisco, but at that time the festival was only a "background" for the story of one of its participants. Today we decided to correct this injustice and tell in more detail about the annual SantaCon festival, which takes place in the form of mass processions. A crowd disguised as Santa Claus walks down the street, after which the protesters disperse to bars and clubs. No matter how Santa Claus claims that their main goal is to give people a good mood, these processions are arranged for the fun of Santa Claus themselves.

It all started 10 years ago. 30 friends dressed up as Santa Claus for some fun on the streets of San Francisco. They entered strip clubs and broke into holiday parties where they drank other people's drinks. Many of the participants in the fun did not manage to return home, having settled down to spend the night right on the streets. Since then, the tradition of opening the New Year's season has become international.

In recent years, the events of the festival have been organized by professionals, thanks to whom the events take place without incident. Alcohol is encouraged to consume in limited quantities, and children are trying to keep away from the Santa Claus processions. Still, the joint drinking and flirting of the participants of the festival of different genders is an obligatory culmination of the actions.
