A few months ago we are on the site Culturology. RF talked about the Tata Nano - the most expensive cheapest car in the world. The work of the artist Hari, titled Think Blue Beetle, echoes that project. But this golden baby was not created from precious materials, but from garbage.

Despite the name Think Blue Beetle, this car has a gold color. First, it is a sweet allusion to the story of the same name by Edgar Alan Poe. Secondly, it further emphasizes the material from which this work of art is created.

And it was created from a variety of garbage, automobile and not only. In particular, when working on the Think Blue Beetle, Haribaabu Haatesan used 800 spark plugs, 200 bottle caps, 60 motherboards, many keyboards, cassettes, audio speakers, cans, typewriters and other materials he found in landfills.

According to Hari himself, in this work he used the Indian religious concept "mukti", which means liberation from the cycle of rebirth, as a conceptual basis. In this case, it is a metaphor for the reuse of physical materials. After all, at the same time, they live almost forever.

The very name Think Blue Beetle was given in honor of the public initiative of Volkswagen, which calls for the recycling of materials, as well as to conserve resources and energy.
