The photographer writes about himself as follows: “My name is Lars van de Goor and I live in the Netherlands, not far from Amsterdam. My hometown is not very interesting for me, but fifteen minutes walk from it there are the most beautiful forests in the whole country! I live here with my daughter, she is thirteen years old, I also have a son, who is eighteen years old, he lives with his mother not far from me. Thus, the two most important things for a photographer: nature and family, probably no one will argue that the artist has chosen very worthy priorities.

Surprisingly, Lars van de Goor has been a musician all his life, and he began to photograph quite recently: he bought his first camera only three years ago, the desire to take photographs woke up in him when he was riding a bicycle through Amsterdam and saw a bouquet of flowers on the road, which someone he threw it out and was run over by a truck “or something like that. These semi-destroyed flowers were similar to modern fossils because they were slightly frozen. It was then that I regretted that I did not have a camera."

The author himself defines the style of his pictures as dreamy, in his opinion, the uniqueness of these works lies in the fact that the people in them are light. Sometimes Lars van de Goor likes to read the opinions of viewers about his work, “to understand how they are perceived and whether something should be changed,” he especially likes comments in which people doubt that the light in the pictures is real. “Yes, I process my photographs quite deeply, but the lights and trees are all real, just a little“edited”so that everyone can see and understand what beauty surrounds us!”

Probably, the main advantage of Lars van de Goor's works is that, for all their flashiness and brightness, they do not look pretentious or lifeless, on the contrary, a certain "staging" of these pictures and their editing only emphasize the beauty of the world around us.
