What are the dogs in the back seats of cars thinking, especially when the owners are not around? It is unlikely that this question worries many, but a series of photographs by Martin Usborne entitled "The Silence of Dogs in Cars" turned out to be so touching and melancholic that everyone will like it. Especially for dog breeders-motorists, who will never leave their pet alone in the car again.
Martin Usborne is a former art director of the children's TV channel, so it's no surprise that his photographs are so sad and light. His career as a photographer started as soon as he left the channel.
In general, there are quite a few photographers whose works may not look too complicated and intricate, but they depict those who cannot be looked at without emotion. For example, the amazing kids in the works of Jacqueline Roberts. Martin Usborne's silent dogs look so unhappy that you just want to demand from him a photo session “Meeting pets with their beloved owners”.
Martin now lives and works in London, where he has his own studio. His closest exhibition will take place on the twentieth of October. The art of photography seems to him to be real magic. “You see so many interesting shapes, people, movements, you can click the camera - and a piece of this world is yours forever. It's so simple that it shouldn't be allowed,”he says.
His very user-friendly and interesting site contains a detailed portfolio.
