The Italian designer and sculptor Pucci de Rossi has always had a rich imagination and a great sense of humor, and this, in turn, could not but affect his work. Just worth the series "Shopping Trophies", in which the author presented hunting trophies, whose horns are a stylized image of well-known brands: Nike, MacDonald’s, Cartier, Gucci, Luis Vuitton, Prada and so on.
Pucci de Rossi has always treated luxury in two ways, emphasizing in his works both its usefulness and uselessness. This time, he alienates facts from their usual meaning, combining together the obvious opponents: nature and culture. His work demonstrates how deeply brands and brands have penetrated the mass consciousness, reaching an almost mythical meaning. Even now, taken out of their usual context, separated from the products they represent, they still do not lose their value and significance.
Shopping Trophies is, of course, a protest against the situation in our consumer society. How often do we pay not for a specific thing, but for a brand - and at the same time we are ready to give any money just to become a happy owner of an LV handbag. And how often do we buy, say, a Cartier watch just to once again demonstrate our worth to others. Brands have taken over our minds - and this is fundamentally wrong, says Pucci de Rossi.
True, the author himself can be accused of advertising those big names with which he is allegedly trying to fight. Pucci de Rossi is aware of this and answers as follows: “Paradoxically, by representing these brands, I, thereby, glorify them. But at the same time, every trade name is an animal that I killed and defeated. Therefore, my sculptures are a way to banish promoted brands from my life."

What trophies did the victorious Soviet soldiers take home from Berlin?
After the surrender of Berlin, the Red Army brought back a lot of trophies from occupied Germany: from cars with armored vehicles to paintings with gold tiaras. This cannot be called robbery, because small trophies were corny bought by soldiers at flea markets, and historically significant acquisitions were deservedly and centralized in the USSR. Of course, individual cases of illegal takeover took place, but for this, the most severe punishment was provided for in the Red Army
3 smart World War II Allied trophies that were worth more than gold bars
The Second World War ended in early September 1945 with the signing of an act of unconditional surrender by the Japanese. Earlier, in the month of May, Nazi Germany surrendered. The winners are still "friends", but they are already beginning to secretly seek out and share trophies of war. And the main ones were not jewelry or works of art: the world was entering a new era, where "smart" trophies were valued much more than gold bars
Germany demands from the Russian Federation to return "cultural trophies" to the USSR
Once again, Germany turned to the Russian Federation and asked to return all cultural values that were removed from its territory at the end of the Second World War. Mikhail Shvydkoi, special representative of the Russian president, believes that such issues should not be raised until political relations between the countries change for the better
Rachel Denny's peaceful hunting trophies. No animal was harmed
This is how it happens: men love to hunt, and women love animals. Men love to boast of their successes and achievements, and women love to decorate the house, turning it into a cozy nest. Therefore, it was the woman who came up with the idea of creating peaceful hunting trophies that can just as well show off on the wall and surprise guests
Want a treasure hunt dog? Funny dog shelter advertisement
Why do people have pets, in particular dogs? So that there was someone to sit with on cold winter evenings, or howl to the moon, or was there a reason to go outside at least a couple of times a day - to walk the dog? There is also a more practical approach. A hand-drawn ad for a dog shelter promises your pet a reward for curiosity. That and look, the dog, encroaching on an appetizing bone, will dig a chest with precious metals or discover oil (which is perhaps even more tempting these days)
