A smile will brighten everyone, and the good that has been done will return a hundredfold to you - these rules, known to everyone, are unpretentious and simple, but, alas, few are in a hurry to follow them. And meanwhile, even the tiniest pleasure, done disinterestedly and from a pure heart, is able to cheer up a person, make his day brighter, fill his heart with hope, joy, love. With this in mind, the artist Mary Whalley from New Zealand has developed a cute and touching art project called Ornamental thoughtfulness, with which she decorated the streets of her native Wellington. Over the course of six weeks, Mary Valley has installed hundreds of tiny sculptures in the form of pretty bronze hands in courtyards and parks, streets and squares, squares and playgrounds, shopping malls and many other places. And in each palm there is a cute little surprise, be it a keychain, beads, lollipop, bell, button, flower or orange autumn leaf from a nearby tree.
These bronze palms are so small that not everyone can notice them. And they are hidden mainly in secluded corners. But the most attentive will surely be lucky, and the day will sparkle for them with bright colors, because it is always pleasant to receive gifts, and unexpected ones are doubly. But the most surprising thing is the reaction of people who did not disregard Mary Valley's touching art project. Finding a bronze palm holding out a cute souvenir on a tree, in a bench, fence or wall of a house, they gladly took it for themselves, leaving something else in return: a coin, a bracelet or a bright candy wrapper for the next passer-by, and a note with kind words for the author of the project … "We noticed! Thank you Mary" - is written in each of them.
The world is not without kind people, and each of us can make it a little better. Isn't that what Mary Whalley's wonderful Ornamental thoughtfulness art project demonstrates?

Why in Russia in the old days they changed their name several times throughout life and other strange rituals
Russian culture is rich in its own traditions, ceremonies and rituals. Most of them appeared from the time of ancient Russia, when paganism still reigned, and were passed down from generation to generation. Almost all rituals are associated with the unity of man and nature. Our ancestors believed in the powers of gods and spirits, so many rituals were of a mystical nature. The most important ceremonies were associated with the birth of a person, initiation into adulthood, and the creation of a family. Our ancestors believed that if the ritual is not performed

Another Earth is flat, hollow and completely unimaginable: As science fiction writers, scientists and visionaries described the Earth
The Earth is a ball, the third planet from the Sun. It would seem that there is nothing to argue about. But there are dissenters to this day. And if these statements make scientists clutch their heads, then writers and screenwriters often serve as material for inspiration

Almost a quarter of a century has already passed since the collapse of the Soviet Union, and many still recall with nostalgia the days when any scratch was smeared with brilliant green, and birch was carried from the store in a string bag instead of orange juice. This review presents typically "our" phenomena, recalling which, we can proudly say: "In the West they will not understand."
