An interesting and touching project was recently presented by a young American woman. For several years in a row, she photographed women who became mothers, literally a day before the photo session.
American photographer Jenny Lewis for several years in a row he has been photographing young mothers with newborn babies in their arms. The result of successful work was the series One day young Is an incredibly emotional project that tells about overcoming, happiness and love.
“The project somehow reminded me of a journey,” says the photographer, “I learned a lot from communicating with different women in this difficult and at the same time happy moment in their lives. These reflections gave me the idea of midwives who are faced with the miracle of the birth of a new person every day."
All photographs were taken by Lewis in East London. The photographer specially came home to each heroine of her cycle so that they feel free and at ease. Lewis talks about how the project has changed her own life. “Five years ago, I was completely different - this project became a kind of 'slap in the face', a 'seismic shift' that made me look differently at many things, including the role of a modern woman."
