On September 1, 2020, Boris Klyuev passed away. His filmography includes more than 200 film roles, he has embodied more than 70 different characters on the theater stage, and the words of his hero from the series "Voronins" are quoted by viewers throughout the Russian-speaking space. Boris Klyuev seemed an amazingly open person, he lived in full force, as he played his roles. And yet there were facts in his life that were not very well known to a wide range of fans and viewers.

Repeater and opponent of mom's marriage

Boris Klyuev's father died of a heart attack when his son was only four years old. The mother of the future actor at the age of 29 remained a widow and could arrange her personal life. But little Boris literally threw his fists at every new man who appeared next to his mother. It seemed to him that in this way he keeps the memory of his dad. Many years later, Boris Klyuev admits: he regrets his behavior, but if he had the opportunity to start life from the very beginning, he would have done the same.

Mom worked hard and most of the time Boris was left to himself. The street was involved in his upbringing, he drank and smoked, participated in some sort of showdowns, smashed windows. And in the sixth grade I stayed for the second year due to poor progress.

A promise made in youth

In childhood and adolescence, Boris Klyuev was very shy about his poor clothes, which had survived the darning and washing a thousand times. And he vowed to be sure to become famous and wealthy, to dress like a real dandy. He kept his promise in his youth. Boris Vladimirovich adhered to fashion, always looked impeccable and had his own style. At the same time, he loved expensive beautiful things, had a weakness for the Pioneer and Armani brands, preferred cars of the Mercedes, Bentley and Rolls-Royce brands.

Refused the Moscow Art Theater

Immediately after graduating from the Schepkinsky School, Boris Klyuev was accepted into the troupe of the Maly Theater, where the actor embodied many vivid images on the stage. When the leadership changed in the theater, Boris Vladimirovich was no longer given new roles. Innokenty Smoktunovsky invited him to the Moscow Art Theater to Oleg Efremov, but after three days of reflection, the actor refused, not wanting to prove anything to anyone in the new team.

Actor's dream

As you know, many actors dream of playing Hamlet, and Boris Klyuev passionately wanted to play Yevgeny Arbenin in Lermontov's Masquerade. In 2014, his dream came true, although he himself almost turned down the role during rehearsals. She seemed so difficult to him that the actor considered the role to be the pinnacle that he would never be able to conquer. But after a second of weakness, Boris Vladimirovich was able to pull himself together and still took this height.

A strict teacher

Almost immediately after graduating from the Schepkinsky school, Boris Klyuev, with a light hand, Elina Bystritskaya, was invited to teach. With the students he was strict, but fair, and most importantly - extremely honest. Boris Vladimirovich taught his students that envy, betrayal and deception would meet on their way to success. Each of them must be able to overcome numerous obstacles, never blame others for their failures, but look for their reasons in himself.

Boris Klyuev always said: students are not obliged to love him, respectful attitude is enough. The teacher himself treated them like a father. If he saw talent in a student, then he himself paid for his education, not allowing him to leave school due to financial difficulties. There were times when he came to defend his students in court.

And he also collected a very interesting card index - all the reports and explanatory notes from students who skipped classes and did not appear on time for lectures. Only Boris Klyuev did not suit the large and dusty archive: at the end of the fourth year, she handed over all the "opuses" to the students themselves, who, together with the teacher, laughed together with the teacher.

Two mistakes and one marriage

Boris Vladimirovich was married three times. But practically nothing is known about his first wives. The actor's friend Mikhail Shabrov always said that in the life of the actor there was only one marriage, and the other two were mistakes. Boris Klyuev lived with his third wife Victoria for over 45 years. At the same time, he admitted: there can be only one leader in a family, and this is his role and his area of responsibility. He was quite authoritarian in the family, but he always treated his wife with great respect and never disregarded her opinion.

Everlasting pain

In the first marriage of the actor, a son, Alexei, was born, but for many years Boris Klyuev did not have the opportunity to communicate with him. When the woman allowed him to meet with her son, it was no longer possible to build a normal relationship. Alexei was only 24 years old when he suddenly died of heart failure. The actor could not even say goodbye to him, because his ex-wife told him about this after the funeral.

Athlete

The actor was actively involved in sports throughout his life. Until the age of 65, he did not stop lifting the barbell, played tennis. But his biggest hobby was football. Boris Vladimirovich played for the football team of the Maly Theater, was its captain, and later became president. And the actor was also one of the ideological inspirers and founders of the Theatrical Football League.

Yacht and roses

Boris Vladimirovich loved to travel and considered going out with a friend on a yacht into the ocean as the best rest. At this time, the actor turned off the phone and enjoyed the society of the elements. And the actor received extraordinary pleasure from growing roses in a dacha near Zvenigorod. It all started more than a quarter of a century ago, when he acquired the first three roots during filming in the Baltics. And he dreamed of growing a black rose.

According to Boris Vladimirovich, the picture serves as an excellent sedative and a reminder that once God created a woman from a man's rib, and therefore one should not grumble about an unfolding relationship, but seek a compromise. He was a great optimist and a truly great talent. Boris Klyuev, who was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2018, did not give up until the last day. He was treated, played in the theater, acted in films and did not leave teaching.

Boris Klyuev believed that God gave him a beautiful and interesting life, and if he was destined to leave, he would leave peacefully. On September 1, 2020, Boris Klyuev left, leaving a memory of himself not only in his roles, but also in the hearts of millions of people.

Despite the illness, Boris Klyuev continued to act in films and TV shows, played at the Maly Theater, taught two courses at the Schepkinsky School, and dubbed foreign films. In his life there was enough space for everything: work, hobbies, feelings. He always honestly admitted his defeats, so as not to dwell on them, but to move on, no matter what.
