Sometimes in life it happens that a person feels like a wounded bird with a broken wing. It cannot take off, but lies at a crossroads and waits for nothing. Suddenly, gentle, warm hands raise him, surround him with care and affection, nurture him and teach him to fly again. This happens not only in fairy tales. So it was when Natalia Gundareva and Mikhail Filippov met.

From a small spark …

They had known each other for a long time. Natalia was then the wife of director Leonid Kheifets, and already an accomplished actress. Mikhail worked at the Mayakovsky Theater and was married to Irina Andropova, daughter of the General Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee. The actors often crossed paths on the set, theatrical skits, but then the spark that soon connected their hearts to the end of their days had not yet flown.

The heyday of Gundareva's career came in the early 80s, when she moved away from the role of rural milkmaids and barmaids. They were replaced by new, psychologically complex and multifaceted images, recognized as classics. The roles were not easy: the actress internally worried about the fate of each heroine she played. I gave all my best and was deadly tired on the set. At home there was no opportunity to rest, because Heifetz adored noisy companies and libations until the morning.

After her first marriage, Natalia experienced two more unsuccessful meetings, and her world was filled with shades of gray. Then she said in an interview: "When they ask me the question:" Natalia, how can you be so strong? " - I give the answer: “Because I am weak. I have no other choice but to stay strong. You need to somehow keep inside yourself. Life is a kind of tragedy, because the outcome is tragic: we die. I think that inside we are all unhappy and alone …"

But suddenly a feeling came to her, from which her eyes lit up again and, as Natalya's friends said, she became cheerful and cheerful, as she was many years ago. Mikhail Filippov became the feeling of her whole life. They got married in 1986. Gundareva wanted to have children from him, although at the time when the idea of becoming a mother appeared, the actress was already 38 years old. But this turned out to be impossible. By the bitter irony of fate, that she would not be able to have children, Natalya heard from the doctors right before the filming of the film “Once Upon a Time Twenty Years Later,” where she was to play the heroine mother.

With age, Gundareva managed to bypass the tactless questions of the paparazzi: “I don't need children. The theater is their replacement”. However, at one point she gave up slack and admitted: "With children, I most likely pay for success …"

Angel of Autumn

"Love did not fit, did not sneak up, but struck the two of us. So we found each other in time, but how late!" - so sad about his beloved husband Natalia Georgievna in the book of memoirs, which he wrote two years after her death. The actor was very worried about the irreparable loss - he refused to question journalists, did not give interviews, and closed in on himself. But soon he threw out all the accumulated emotions in the amazing book "Natasha", the epigraph to which was the words: "I just have a desire to talk about Her again."

And suddenly we recognize our beloved actress from a completely different side - anxious, fragile, tender and childishly defenseless. In this mature woman, in a wonderful way, lived a baby, a little girl from the sandbox, who reveals all her secrets to everyone with captivating credulity.

Mikhail remembers Natalia, as if he addresses her as a shrine - every pronoun - with a capital letter: “But I, it turns out, have not seen many of Your works, and I would not have been able to count Your titles, but I knew Your freckles and am glad of it."

Their entire path was alternated with meetings and partings. Natalia had a lot of filming, she traveled on tour around the country. Filippov also spent enough time on business trips. “There were days when, barely seeing You, I immediately left for the train station or airport. Such moments only strengthened the relationship, forced us to appreciate every moment, knowing and discovering each other again and again."

And appreciate every moment …

Filippov compares his wife to a sad girl in whom an unknown sadness lurked. "Angel of Autumn", open to all the blessings of life, but like no one who experiences someone else's grief, rudeness and injustice. So in one of her interviews, the artist bitterly spoke about the theater's spiritual rebirth: “I think that the theater is turning from a Temple into a booth. From the abode of spirituality and morality - to the kingdom of cynicism. " She said as if she felt this pain with every cell …

They say that a talented person is talented in everything. In the illustrated book "Natasha" we also recognize our beloved actress as an extraordinary artist: her landscapes are so realistic that it seems that you touch a flower and a drop of dew will fall in the palm of your hand. But in her last sketches, images of the Mother of God are more common. Probably, this is something very personal, or maybe a premonition of a tragic end …

"I like everything in this world - any weather, any mood. I do not believe in the movement of the soul and I believe that a person lives only one life. There is a desire to feel the fullness of life and so to understand a lot." These words contain all Natalia Gundareva, sincere and bright, like her feeling …

And another couple, whose love story haunted the whole world - Yves Montand and Simone Kaminker - were sure that all grievances dissolve in Eternity.
