Video: Good attitude towards horses. Green advertising that takes the soul
2024 Author: Richard Flannagan | [email protected]. Last modified: 2023-12-15 23:55
We have seen more than once that advertising can have artistic value … And she, of course, can be socially significant … At the junction of these two categories, real masterpieces of advertising art appear - for example, the best examples green advertisingdesigned to instill in us an ecological awareness and to teach us a good attitude towards horses and other animals. We will admire such works of advertising art in this review.
Animals under the bullets
"Don't buy. Don't sell. Don't kill." - this is the slogan of environmental advertising created by the creative agency JWT from Shanghai. The animals depicted on the posters seem to be covered with shot glass. This ad does not mean to refrain from buying bullets. Her message: you can not buy any animals or products from them, smuggled - all these are the results of brutal poaching murders. However, looking at such an advertisement, I somehow do not want to buy any animal products at all, especially ivory billiard balls.
Feel yourself in their shoes
Sometimes it is not so easy to awaken compassion for animals in people. In order to do this, the agency Frese & Wolff from Oldenburg, Germany, resorted to such photographic posters. Ordinary people, who have not even thought about how our smaller brothers feel, are invited to look at themselves in the place of a mink, a horse, a monkey.
Why is a man's head clamped with a clamp "in place of a monkey"? Thus expressed protest against animal testing … By the way, this may have a more terrible meaning: Chinese rich people are addicted to an unusual food - the brains of a living monkey. This disgusting, by European standards, tradition was condemned by science fiction writers, the Strugatsky brothers, in their story "Predatory Things of the Century".
However, is it better what we do with the same horses and other animals? A fragile girl with a crimson mark on her shoulder proves that a good attitude towards horses is not something we can boast of. It seems that the advertisers have achieved their goal: if you look at such posters for a long time, you involuntarily overwhelm the desire to become a vegetarian.
Who's at gunpoint?
Picking up the idea of "Feel yourself in the shoes of unfortunate animals," green ad from the Beijing branch of a world-renowned agency Ogilvy & Mather asks: what if they open the hunt for you? Animals with rifles, shining a laser sight at us, should make a person understand how hard it is to be a victim. However, this idea does not seem so good: the message of the green advertisement should evoke sympathy for animals, not fear of them gripping weapons.
Natural life - natural death
These prints are not green ads per se: they are designed for large Neenah Paper … Anyone who is familiar with the history of the pulp and paper mill on the shores of Lake Baikal knows how poorly paper producers get along with the environment. Neenah paper positions itself as a company that is sensitive to environmental protection and implements the most environmentally friendly technologies in the world.
The message of advertising created by the agency Y&R in Dubai, UAE, simple: animals must die a natural death, from old age. For this, the corpses of animals from the reserves were photographed. Arab copywriters can take a pie off the shelf for their truly non-standard approach to the problem, as well as for their deeply felt and conveyed style. snowy silence … However, their advertising, it seems to us, is not very good: people value their cheerfulness and movement in animals, and not creepy and silent corpses. Well, but original.
The same skin
"You and I are of the same skin, you and me" - this is how you can define the message of this green advertisement of 2007, created by the Kuwaiti branch of the creative agency JWT … The advertisement was ordered by the animal protection organization PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).
From the point of view of this organization, which, by the way, has 800,000 members, making handbags, wallets and belts out of animal skin is highly unethical. "What if you do the same with a person - chest on a bag, back on a strap, a foot on a shoe insole?" - the advertisement asks us silently. Unfortunately, people have already done this more than once, but this message does not become less clear and convincing.
As you can see from our review of green advertising to nurture in a person good attitude towards horses and ecological thinking, more than one million dollars is spent annually - and a lot of inspiration for creators and artists. Unfortunately, even such advertising takes only more or less sensitive people by the heart - and in order for the planet to turn green again, everyone must change their way of life.

Tattooing has been and remains a controversial topic in the visual body art context. But there are also those who put the costs of paying for a tattoo service into the regular budget. The question is not in tastes and assessments, but in historical facts. A step towards a dream or a childish prank: Why the story of Icarus is interpreted differently from the ancient Greek myth itself
We all know the beautiful story of Icarus, who soared high into the sun and, having fallen from a great height, crashed near the coastal rocks. For centuries, many writers and artists have given this image a symbolic meaning, which consists in courage, in a person's striving for freedom and dreams. However, the ancient Greek myth, on the basis of which a beautiful legend was invented, says something completely different
