In 2020, the domestic cinema is not inferior to the western one. The Russian audience is tired of the caricatured characters of American films, which, even with a stretch, are hard to attribute to real people. The Vratinge YouTube channel has compiled a list of Russian films that are popular with Russian viewers in the spring of 2020. The leading position in this rating is taken by the militant "Shugaley". It tells the real story of Russian sociologists Maksim Shugalei and Samer Sueifan, who were kidnapped by Libyan terrorists.
It is important to note that director Denis Neimand managed to create a film in a unique style of documentary filmmaking, which was noticed by the notorious Artemy Lebedev. The picture found its audience outside of Russia. For example, an authoritative Italian publication writes that Russian cinema perfectly conveyed the atmosphere of what is happening in the North African state. The picture was filmed in record time - less than 2 months, the shooting was financed by the St. Petersburg businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, who is not indifferent to the fate of Russians. As a result, the interest in "Sugar" was so high that the film topped the tops of pirate torrent sites on the first day.
The second place in the rating was taken by the work of Konstantin Khabensky called "Fairy". In a modern fairy tale, everyday life is mixed with virtual reality, which is very important during the period of self-isolation. The film makes you think about the high - fate, morality, the concepts of good and evil.
The third place in the rating was taken by the comedy Hotel Belgrade. The creators of the picture managed to perfectly convey a romantic story, which has everything you need: the scenery of the old city, the mafia, a brave protagonist and a meeting with old love.
In addition to the novelties of the domestic cinema, films of the past years were also included in the chart. Among them is the military film "T-34", where the main role is played by the popular actor Alexander Petrov. The rating also includes another war film - "Rzhev". He talks about the bloody events of 1942-1943 that took place on the Rzhev-Vyazma land. The plot is based on the story of the front-line writer Kondratyev about the courageous feat of soldiers and officers who showed true devotion to the Motherland. It is worth noting that the film was also shot at the expense and with the participation of the St. Petersburg businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, whose grandfather fought near Rzhev. After the premiere on television on the eve of Victory Day, the film is still in the top of the best war films on the "Kinoafish". Another leader of Russian cinema is the film "Moving Up", based on real events of the Cold War period.

And this despite the fact that they were sentenced to hard labor even for a peaceful demonstration of dissatisfaction with the regime! Obviously, the girl was born under a lucky star, which, however, did not bring her in the future either personal happiness or satisfaction with the events taking place in the country before the death of Vera Ivanovna
