Collecting bouquets of yellow autumn leaves, we rarely think about what a wonderful material for creativity. Well, perhaps suitable for kids in kindergarten and for compiling herbariums. But the Chinese craftsmen from Longal Craft Co., Ltd. cut stunning images on the leaves and even make money on it!
The work on creating the image takes place in several stages. To begin with, the leaves are naturally selected. The authors prefer to use sycamore leaves, and they claim that they are collected from trees growing in ecologically clean areas, since it is from them that the best images are obtained. The next step is drying. The leaves are then dipped in boiling water to kill bacteria and soften it. After that, the leaves are peeled again and finally carving begins. When the image is ready, it is thoroughly dried again.
All work, of course, is done by hand. And I must admit - the company's employees are actually masters of their craft. Take a look at the leaves - they are not cut through in places. Sometimes, when creating an image, only part of the sheet surface is cut off, and a thin translucent layer remains. Just jewelry work!
All images are cut to order. Craftsmen can create any drawing on a plane tree leaf - even your own portrait or an image of your favorite cat. And they promise to deliver your order anywhere in the world.

Kirie is a special technique for cutting filigree patterns out of paper. Japanese self-taught artist Akira Nagaya devoted most of his life to this art. Looking at his work, one might think that these drawings were made using a laser, but not by human hands
Kitchen art: miniatures on a cutting board
To turn an ordinary cutting board into a work of art, you need, at a minimum, to lay out pictures of bacon based on Van Gogh and Munch on it. An easier option, though, is to check out the Elysium Woodworks store, which sells a variety of all kinds of wood products for the kitchen. The boards that can be purchased here will definitely not leave anyone indifferent - they will definitely bring a smile

The carving of three-dimensional sculptures from old and useless books, or book art is not new at all.
