Children brought up on Andersen's fairy tales know perfectly well that at night, when the lights go out, toys come to life … So it was with the steadfast tin soldier, and so, perhaps, happens with those dolls and animals that "live" in the nursery. Photographer Jeff Friesen I am sure: as soon as the door to his daughter's room slams, miracles immediately begin to happen. Which ones - see his funny photo project.
Jeff Frisen is a big fan of photo manipulation. Readers of the site Kulturologiya.ru probably remember the adventures of a toy train that traveled across Canada. This time we will focus on the everyday life of toys. The wonderful pictures were taken in order to amuse the daughter, but they were so successful that the family begged Jeff to publish them on the network.
It is noteworthy that for each photo Jeff Frisen writes a short story in which he tells about the addictions of toy animals captured during their daily activities. So, for example, the Hugo hippopotamus is very restrained, he deprives himself of many everyday joys so as not to attract attention. He even denies himself playing the piano, but he could not resist a small piece of a birthday cake. But the panda Chi Chi is happy to live in a luxurious apartment, although he misses his compatriots in the bamboo forest. When her relatives started having problems with the Internet, the connection was practically cut off, but the Animal Planet channel came to the rescue, and now Chi Chi is happy to watch documentaries about the lives of his friends.
Some toys even help the owners around the house. Dinosaur Norbert is an excellent gardener, in fact, these dinosaurs still rule the world (at least on the scale of a single apartment). The photographs show a calf skateboarding around the house and an owl that enjoys quieter entertainment like reading, for example. By the way, the owl Frederic dreams of achieving the same success as Buckla (Harry Potter's faithful assistant). Frederick is studying the basics of magic from books on his own, and, according to Jeff Frisen, wants to offer his deepest apologies for the mistaken disappearance of the Canadian city of Saskatoon. Perhaps one of the funniest is the dolphin splashing around in the bathroom. The rubber duck next to him for a reason: translated into "dolphin" language, her quacking means: "Do not forget to wash your ears while you swim."

Small but smart: a toy train travels across Canada in Jeff Frisen's photo project
Austrian writer Karl Kraus owns a famous aphorism: "Small stations are very proud that fast trains must pass them." But in the project “The Canadian: Ghost Train Crossing Canada” by photographer Jeff Friesen, the opposite is true: a small train is proud to travel across a vast country. Huge ferns, wheat fields, giant stones and infinitely long wooden railings - these are far from all the difficulties that mines overcome kilometer after kilometer
