The development and widespread use of photographic technology has given rise to an amazing form of art that combines painting and photography. We are talking about the so-called "frozen light" (Freezelight). Every day in the world there are more and more artists engaged in this particular kind of creativity. One of them is the German Moritz Waldmeer, who recently presented a series of his works entitled The Path of the Sword in Milan.

The Path of the Sword is an ode to the martial arts, their grace, precise choreography, strength, speed and precision of strikes. All these moments Moritz Waldmeer decided to represent with the help of light. He equipped the swords with LEDs and photographed the exercises with them on the camera, setting a long shutter speed.

As a result, the artist got amazing pictures in which the movements of the masters of handling the sword are presented in the form of seemingly meaningless light streaks. And it is the viewer's right to find logic and order in them.

According to Moritz Waldmeer himself, his task in creating this series of works was the desire to show not the movements of the sword themselves, but their energy, fleetingness and abstractness.

Moritz Waldmeer's work does not go unnoticed. The largest industrial companies use his services with great pleasure, for example, this German artist created advertisements for such world famous brands as Mercedes and Dom Perignon.
