LEGO artist Mike Doyle is familiar to fans of this special art form. In his works, he takes the skill of creating sculptures from a constructor to a completely new level both in form and in content, making it genre. Examples of this include crumbling Victorian houses or an entire city stylized as a science fiction of the sixties and seventies of the twentieth century.
Sculpture Contact 1 is a huge structure assembled by Mike Doyle from more than two hundred thousand LEGO bricks. It took the author about six hundred hours of work to create this sculpture. Mike Doyle himself says that the outlines of the cosmic LEGO city came to him during many hours of meditation. He himself is a supporter of Eastern mysticism and deeply studies the ancient cultures of India and China.
Making one such giant LEGO sculpture isn't cheap. Not only does it take a lot of time, but it also requires significant investment in at least the same purchase of hundreds of thousands of construction elements. But Mike Doyle is seeking funding for his artistic activities on the Kickstarter service, where anyone who has put forward an original idea can receive money for its implementation from hundreds and thousands of interested people.
