The life of a modern society is built on democratic principles, assuming that every person has the right to privacy and to freely express their opinion. Unfortunately, in different countries of the world, cases have recently become more frequent when the private life of a person becomes public. As a sign of protection of the right to confidentiality, an architectural company "SpY" on one of the houses in Madrid installed an installation consisting of 150 CCTV cameras.
The installation with the self-explanatory name "Cameras" is one and a half hundred "toy" security cameras, which, of course, do not record any information, but clearly demonstrate that in the modern world surveillance is carried out almost everywhere.
The installation is "inspired" by George Orwell's dystopian novel 1984, in which the writer warns of the threat of totalitarianism, describing the lives of people under the constant control of Big Brother, the sole leader of the ruling party. Each member of the society was monitored with the help of special telescreens that combine a television and a constantly working video camera.
The creators of the installation explain that this kind of surveillance continues today. Organization of concern is the US National Security Agency, which collects intelligence information. Today, the debate around the agency's activities is flaring up more and more, and the installation of the SpY company once again reminds us that, perhaps, we are being followed. At least 150 toy video cameras.

Installation of Camera Flowers. Flower beds where cameras bloom
A photographer's dream is to come to the forest, to a garden or city park, to a vegetable garden or to a field, and collect there a rich crop of lenses, cameras and flashes for every taste, color and size. To some extent, the Brazilian artist André Feliciano brought this idea to life in his colorful installation Camera Flowers, presented in the greenhouse of the New York photovillage Photoville
