Here in the city of Bikaner one of the brightest festivals takes place - Bikaner Camel Festival, on which masters use scissors to make amazing styling for camels!
The city of Bikaner (Rajasthan State) is famous for the fact that it houses the only farm in India where camels are bred. It is natural that the festival dedicated to the "ships of the desert" is annually held in this place. For two days in January, the best camel breeders come here, as well as tourists from all over the world, to watch the amazing sight!
During the festival, many events take place: Indians arrange camel races, competitions in hairdressing (shearing camels), and the highlight of the holiday is a real beauty contest, in which all the same animals act as models.
Craftsmen use sharp scissors to cut national ornaments on camel skins, turning them into a real work of art! For the beauty contest, "models" are adorned with all sorts of colorful accessories and even put on makeup to attract the attention of the judges!
Bikaner is an amazing city located in the heart of the desert, cars appeared here relatively recently, so the locals depended on camels for a very long time, since this was their only means of transportation. And today these animals are very revered because they are famous for their endurance, strength and beauty!
