The red-capped king-size manakin is the only vertebrate capable of playing "music" with its own wings. This inhabitant of the Ecuadorian forests makes sounds, striking himself with his wings on his "back", and he does so 106 times per second - this is the fastest movement among vertebrates. The songs of female manakin are like two clicks, accompanied by a long note, as if played on a violin. This is done by males during the mating season. The photographer captured the male manakin in this process.

In the harsh Japanese winter, macaques escape frost by plunging into hot thermal springs.

A stunning, colorful photo of a Cuban lizard, frozen in place, as if specially prepared for a photo shoot.

It is not so easy to find a bear in the forests of Finland, because they avoid walking along the paths chosen by tourists, mushroom pickers and hunters. But here he is, a clubfoot bear walking through the forest. Probably, to a watering place, - it was then that the author of the picture snapped him out of a photographic gun.

Fans of snorkeling, swimming under the surface of the water with fins, a mask and a snorkel, try to visit Moorea, in French Polynesia. Its warm, turquoise-blue waters are a place for special meetings of snorkelers and the underwater world with representatives of this: sharks and other exotic fish that frolic in the sun's sparkling water.

Photographers, hikers and wildlife enthusiasts never miss Okondeka in Namibia. There, at the watering hole, you can meet various representatives of the wild African fauna. In particular, majestic giraffes and fast, flexible, fearful gazelles.

Daintree Conservation Area in Queensland, Australia is a vast area of untouched rainforest in the bend of the river of the same name. The area is famous for lush vegetation, giant trees entwined with lianas, palms, ferns and orchids, and in April, glowing mushrooms on the trees. In the thicket of the primeval forest, which has existed for millions of years, you can see the most incredible animals: a glowing green frog with tentacled paws or marsupials. Or here, spotted crocodiles, successfully camouflaging in shallow water.
