Photos of wildlife, animals and birds in their natural habitat are the crown feature of the creative team National Geographic … And today, as every week, by tradition - another selection of multi-colored frames for July 18-24.

The eerie photo of a grinning face in colorful stripes is actually the result of David Doubilet's photo hunt for parrot fish that are found in the vicinity of the Great Barrier Reef. These large and colorful fish are called the keepers of coral reefs because with their numerous teeth located on the outer surface of the jawbone, they scrape dry algae and polyps from corals, contributing to the bioerosion process and preventing algae from "suffocating" the reef. It is for these teeth, which in shape resemble a parrot's beak, that the fish got their name.

Wonderful black and white horses, Tanzanian zebras, were captured by Erica Scobie in Ngorongoro National Park in northern Tanzania. Most of it lies inside the eponymous volcanic crater Ngorongoro, which is unique in that over the years it has developed its own habitat for many species of animals that cannot get out.
July 20
Photographer Frans Lanting, who visited Namibia, captured a flock of sandgrouses splashing in the water. By the way, this large puddle is nothing more than a water hole in the Namibrand Nature Reserve in the Namib Desert.

The cute little Bambi pictured here is Angie Sin, a Japanese deer from Nara. There, deer are revered as holy messengers of God, they are allowed to walk freely and run wherever they want. These deer are well known for their graceful bows with which they beg for food. More precisely, they are grateful for being treated to them.

Photographer Charlene Ngo took this photo in the Philippines, at the Zoological and Botanical Gardens in Manila. Alas, it should be admitted that these gorgeous birds need a much better environment than the current one, - such conclusions were made by Charlene after this visit.
July 23
Quite by accident, while in Australia, the photographer Emilien Anglada frightened off a family of wild gray eastern kangaroos, which anxiously rushed into the distance, towards their native forest, barely seeing a man emerging from the bushes. The photograph turned out to be very picturesque against the background of an orange Australian sunset …
July 24
And finally, a photograph of a dolphin taken by Aleksnadra Turkowska in Turkey during dolphin therapy.
