Canadian 25-year-old artist Amy Shackleton - is far from the first master who does not use brushes in his painting, completely and completely dispensing with them. We remember the palette knife painting of Leonid Afremov and the Vietnamese author Phan Thu Trang, the paintings of Tim Patch, painted with a penis, and Natalie Irish, who paints with her lips. And Amy Shackleton helps to create paintings gravity … In the studio of Amy Shackleton, one wall is covered with multi-colored smudges of paint, and not at all because the young artist prefers such an unusual decor: this wall is her working one. At this wall, the girl spends 30 or even more hours working on the next picture, which, although they resemble surreal canvases and fantastic motives, are still quite real scenes from the present. Amy paints industrial landscapes with houses and cars, roads and bridges, lanterns and trees, factories and factories - in general, everything that can be seen around.

As already mentioned, Amy Shackleton does not use a brush or fingers as an intermediary between paint and canvas: she pours paint directly onto the canvas, turning and tilting it so that the colored streams flow in the direction she wants. However, sometimes a girl uses strings to change the direction of the paint and prevent her from spoiling her plan. That is why the bright and luscious landscapes of Amy Shackleton look so original, unlike other paintings of this genre - they cannot be confused with anything, and it is impossible to repeat them.
