What knowledge does a real photographer need to have in order to create a series of works worthy of attention? How do I set the exposure-shutter speed? Not only. The Swede Vincent Skoglund, who shot landscapes in unusual lighting, for example, learned how to scare away bears in the wilderness and what it is like to drag a theater soffit along the road to get spectacular shots.
Vincent Skoglund, 37, is one of the most famous Swedish photographers. The world first learned about him at the dawn of the 90s. Over the 20 years that have passed since then, Vincent Skoglund has managed to work in different industries and master different topics. The world of fashion, sports, music, journalism was successively opened before him. The photographer lived abroad for a long time, but returned to his homeland and settled in Stockholm.
And Vincent Skoglund was born in the Swedish village of Kniva Dalarna. The photographer came here to remember his golden childhood, so his photographs “Lightyears” are a journey not only in space, but also in time. The author of photographic landscapes is experimenting with light in order to see and show us the beauty of the Swedish hinterland in a new way.
The area where Vincent Skoglund grew up is a century-old dense forest, which the photographer lacked so much in a foreign land. Swedish nature is so beautiful, the author of the works believes, that even Photoshop is not particularly required here: well, perhaps a little "stretch" the colors: lighten there, darken there …
"The less equipment, the better," Vincent Skoglund rightly believes, "so you can humanly concentrate on the idea." The main devices used by the photographer were a theatrical spotlight (very heavy and clearly not intended to be carried around Swedish forests) and a walkie-talkie to keep in touch with the assistant and scare away bears.
It must be said that Vincent Skoglund did not at all strive to shoot a remake of Morning in a Pine Forest. Not to have to hear from the local bear "Surprise!" in broken English ("Hello!" in broken Russian would also be effective), the photographer and his assistant tried to make more noise. The animals that were hiding two steps away in the thicket really got scared of the people of art - and this time everything worked out.
As a child, Vincent Skoglund loved to draw and dreamed of becoming an artist or a big boss. In principle, something like this happened. Now Vincent is a photo artist and his own boss. Dreams Come True!

The art of reflection: Trey Ratcliffe's photographic landscapes
American self-taught photo artist Trey Ratcliffe loves traveling to places where there are no tourists with "soap dishes", encourages learning to understand color from the Impressionists and tries in vain to deal with the influx of letters from numerous visitors to his site. And he also believes that it is worth focusing on things that are interesting to himself, and everything else will somehow settle down. The author's skill is best described by his photographic landscapes
Amazing photographic landscapes from a bird's eye view
We can say that the German Klaus Leidorff raised the art of photography to a considerable height. Literally. The thing is that the author of these photographic landscapes loves to contemplate the earth from a beautiful distance, or, rather, a beautiful high. He flies the Cessna-172, managing to fly the plane and take pictures at the same time. Most of the striking photographic landscapes Klaus Leidorff made out when flying over Bavaria
How black and white photographic landscapes brought fame to the artist and provided him with fame outside the Earth: Ansel Adams
Economic crises, international conflicts, wars and epidemics - what can attract more attention than these unpleasant and extremely important events for humanity? This question did not arise now, and once, in really difficult times, the photographer Ansel Adams found his answer. Whether he is right or not is up to everyone to decide for himself, but this man inscribed his name in history, and also in the hearts of millions of ordinary people, admirers of his talent
Sky. Sea. Stones. Amazing photographic landscapes of Bobby Bong
Bobby Bong is a photographer from Indonesia who can show the beauty of the seaside in stunning photographic landscapes. The sky in the pictures shimmers with bright colors, and the wave lulls the shore. Paradise on earth is nothing and no one darkens, you can only admire how the water wears away the stone, while the stones pretend to be asleep. But in fact, the soothing photographic landscapes are full of movement
Layered photographic landscapes of Nobuhiro Nakanishi
We all probably loved watching cartoons and photographs on a slide projector. It is especially interesting when each frame is framed in a separate plastic frame, and these small "pictures" are lined up one after the other in anticipation of their time. The multi-layered photographic landscapes of the Japanese artist Nobuhiro Nakanishi are somewhat similar. All that is missing is a giant slide projector and a huge white door - leading only to the dwelling of giants
