Hundreds of millions of women paint their lips every day, giving them a new shape, new colors, more expressiveness and sexuality. But only artist Paige Thompson went further and turned her lips into a real canvas for her paintings from the Animal-Lipstick series.
Thanks to South Korean artist Sung Jin Kim and his hyperrealistic paintings, we already know that lips can be a full-fledged hero of works, and their life is no less interesting than the life of the person to whom they belong.
But Paige Thompson is not interested in lips as such. She is much more interested in the metamorphoses that her lips can accomplish with her help. After all, she uses this part of her body as a canvas for her paintings.
In dozens of works from the Animal-Lipstick series, you can see a huge variety of animals: from insects and amphibians to large mammals and even cartoon Pokemon. Who would have thought that human lips could become the basis for a painting depicting, for example, a bee or a panda? Nobody, except, of course, Paige Thompson.
In her blog, the artist regularly pleases fans with new images. Moreover, she invites them to look at their lips in a new way and start painting pictures on them. After all, a more expressive part of the body is difficult to find, except perhaps the eyes. However, Paige Thompson also creates pictures based on her eyes. But now not about them, but about the lips.
In order not to harm his lips and the entire body as a whole, Page paints on them with special harmless water-based paints, which are washed off in a few seconds with water, and when they enter the mouth and further into the esophagus, they simply dissolve there without any damage to humans.
Language does not dare to call Paige Thompson's work body art. No, this is real painting!
