Sergey Ivanov was born on May 22, 1951 in an intelligent family in Kiev. The future actor's grandfather was the author of a textbook on the Ukrainian language, and his father was a popular poet at that time. Sergei decided to be an actor. He entered the Kiev National University of Theater, Film and Television named after I. K. Karpenko-Kary, while asking his father not to use his connections to help his son. As the teachers later recalled about him: Sergei Ivanov was a somewhat awkward, but very charming young man. When he entered the audience, for some reason everyone began to smile, charging him with positive energy.
