Polymer clay and plastic, cloth and paper, glue and ink, spare parts found somewhere, beads, gears and other trifles - all this is expended, used for creativity by a married duet DoubleParlour, into which three years ago were united Ernie and Cassandra Velasco from San Francisco. And for three years now they have been creating amazing surrealistic sculptures from the above materials, which you can recognize from thousands of others by their peculiar depressive style and mood. It is interesting that each sad sculpture is exclusive and unique, it exists in a single copy, and if this work is sold, the authors will never create the same one. And why repeat, the spouses are surprised if we have a lot of new ideas in stock, and inspiration has not yet been denied …

At some point, the unusual characters invented by DoubleParlour went beyond their small workshop, and from that moment on, Ernie and Cassandra Velasco held more than 20 exhibitions in the States, and the gloomy, disgruntled characters from sculptural miniatures turned into prints, souvenirs, drawings and decorations. These exhibitions come in very handy on the eve of Halloween - they are very peculiar, these surreal kids performed by a married duet.

You can look at these and other works by Ernie and Cassandra Velasco either at the next exhibition or on their personal website.
