It's hard to believe, but in some large metropolitan areas like Tokyo in Japan or the American Los Angeles and New York, people who work tirelessly see real forests, fields and groves so rarely that on weekends they certainly try to get out of the city, well or at least begging to visit friends who live in private houses with a small garden in the backyard. This is probably why the designer tandem cometman & kokeya from Japan made an environmental art project Moss ring, which are wooden rings with a piece of wildlife inside. In this tandem, the cometman is responsible for the "jewelry" part of the work (if you can call it a wooden ring), and the kokeya is the bonsai master, and his task is the "green" part of the decoration.

For wildlife, the designers use the special Leucobryum moss, which can be found in the lush Japanese gardens of Kyoto. This moss is famous for its resistance to dryness (it does well without water for a long time) and its deep, juicy green color.

The Moss Ring collection is not a piece of jewelry for every day. But carrying a piece of spring with you in cold winter or rainy autumn is so pleasant and incredibly romantic!
