The AUDI Haus is a construction of hundreds of large glass panels installed around an AUDI car on a Shanghai street. These partitions completely change the visual perception of this machine, turning it into something volatile, magical, not entirely real.
The glass panels described are positioned to produce multiple reflections from the vehicle, which merge with each other, creating the illusion of movement and rotation when the viewer looks at the AUDI Haus installation from the side.
A person outside this installation visually approaches the car with its help. If he gets into its inner part (for this there is a special corridor in one of the sides of the AUDI Haus), then the only thing that the viewer will see in the glass reflections is a noisy metropolis. As conceived by the authors of the installation, such an effect will create an intimate experience between an AUDI car and a person.
The described visual effects are enhanced by the different angles at which the glass partitions stand in relation to each other, as well as the multi-colored evening illumination of the AUDI Haus installation, which turns it into one of the most amazing spectacles in the vast and diverse Shanghai.
The AUDI Haus installation was created for the start of the Fornula 1 Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai. Of course, the AUDI team does not participate in this competition. But they are attended by thousands and thousands of car fans from all over the world, who were interested in such a work of art.
